Here between us

When we say "Here between us" we do it when we feel confident to tell something, although the phrase implicitly conveys a certain confidentiality of what is going to be said, it is understood that what is said is no longer a secret, that it ceases to be so to belong also to the one who listens to it and the weight of that burden is lightened, it becomes more bearable for those who share it. Perhaps there lies the intention to tell what is so deep and worrying, possibly is to find how not to continue charging alone with silence.

These are pieces constructed from a somewhat more universal formal economy but that have the intention of generating a moving effect in the observer, resorting to an archetypal figure as the absence that is always present and traverses the work as an equally powerful presence in relationship to each of the individuals that make up each scene.

They are iconographies that speak of places, of losses, of uprooting and of situations whose intrinsic nature is the transit, the apparently ephemeral that tends to vanish, spaces without borders, without clear limits, geographically inaccurate that give rise to the reality that I have internalized like the one in Colombia. Precisely to talk about those borders that are depicted, is that I try to do it from the pictographic way using drawing as a language expressed in small paintings or drawings on paper, simple lines and figures with grim plastic treatments that only account for fair and necessary information.
